Kine Tracking

This Privacy Policy describes how Kine Tracking collects, uses, stores, and protects information when You use the Application. It also explains Your privacy rights and how You can control app permissions.

By using Kine Tracking, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation

Words with initial capital letters have meanings defined under the following conditions. The definitions have the same meaning whether they appear in singular or plural.

Definitions

• Application refers to Kine Tracking, the software program provided by the Company.

• Company, We, Us, or Our refers to Performance Sphere Lab, the developer of Kine Tracking.

• Country refers to India.

• Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a phone, tablet, or computer.

• Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

• Service refers to the Application.

• Usage Data refers to data collected automatically when using the Service.

• You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

Collecting and Using Your Information

Types of Data Collected

Usage Data

The current version of Kine Tracking does not intentionally send identifiable app-usage analytics to Company-operated servers. Android, Google Play, or Your Device manufacturer may provide limited technical information such as Device type, operating-system version, crash reports, and diagnostic data, depending on Your Device and Google Play settings.

Any technical information made available to Us is used only for reliability, troubleshooting, security, and improvement of the Service.

Camera, Photo Library, Video Import and Processing

Kine Tracking may request camera access and may allow You to select photos or videos through the Android system picker to provide movement tracking, posture analysis, Kine Slice, video import analysis, and performance review features.

• Camera access is used for live movement tracking, Kine Motion analysis, Kine Gate setup, and Kine Posture analysis.
• Photos and videos are accessed only when You choose to select or import them.
• The Application uses the Android system picker where supported and does not require unrestricted access to Your entire media library.
• Imported media is processed locally on Your Device for movement, posture, Kine Slice, and performance analysis.
• We do not automatically upload imported videos to Our servers.
• We do not share imported videos with third parties.
• Exported videos, images, screenshots, reports, and analysis results are stored on Your Device unless You choose to share them.

We do not use camera, photo, or video access for advertising, user profiling, or unrelated tracking.

Kine Slice Processing

Kine Slice allows You to select a section of an imported video and create motion-sequence images, preview clips, or processed videos. The feature may isolate the clearest visible athlete, extract selected frames, calculate pose landmarks or joint-angle information, and create visual effects such as motion layers, trajectories, and sequence labels.

• Kine Slice processing occurs locally on Your Device.
• Temporary frames, masks, preview clips, and processing layers may be created in the Application's private cache while the feature is being used.
• Temporary Kine Slice processing files are removed when the generated result is released or when unsuccessful processing is cleaned up. Android may also clear cached files automatically.
• Kine Slice video exports are created without the original video's audio.
• Final Kine Slice images or videos are saved locally only when You choose to export them.
• We do not upload Kine Slice source videos, extracted frames, masks, pose landmarks, or exports to Company-operated servers.

Movement, Timing, and Posture Analysis Data

To provide its analysis features, Kine Tracking may derive movement-related information from camera frames or imported media. This may include marker positions, trajectories, velocity values, timing results, body landmarks, joint angles, segment angles, posture-screening scores, and coaching remarks.

• This derived information is processed locally on Your Device.
• It is used to provide the analysis, visual feedback, reports, images, and videos requested by You.
• It is not used for facial recognition, identity verification, advertising, or user profiling.
• Kine Tracking is a training and coaching support tool and does not provide a medical diagnosis.

Microphone Access for Kine Gate Clap Start

Kine Tracking may request microphone access for the Kine Gate clap-start feature. The microphone is used only to detect a loud clap sound to start a timing test.

• Audio is processed locally on Your Device only for clap detection.
• We do not record, store, upload, or share audio.
• We do not use microphone access for advertising, marketing, analytics, or user profiling.
• Microphone access is used only while You are actively using the Kine Gate clap-start feature.
• You can enable or disable microphone permission at any time through Your Device settings.

Location Permission for Kine Gate

While using the Kine Gate feature, Kine Tracking may request location permission. This permission is used only to help nearby devices connect for timing gate sessions, including host and gate device discovery, Wi-Fi/local network setup, and timing communication between phones.

• We do not use GPS/location permission to track Your real-world location.
• We do not record, store, or upload Your GPS coordinates.
• We do not use location data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or user profiling.
• We do not access location in the background.
• Location permission is used only while You are actively using the Kine Gate feature.
• Local network details, such as device connection information or IP address, may be used temporarily to connect gate devices, but are not uploaded to Our servers.

On some Android versions, location permission may be required by the operating system for nearby Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or device discovery, even when the app does not use Your physical location.

Local Network and Device Connection Information

Kine Gate may use local network or nearby device connection information to allow phones or supported devices to communicate during timing sessions. This information is used temporarily for connection setup and timing communication and is not uploaded to Our servers.

Use of Your Information

The Company may use information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service: including movement tracking, posture analysis, timing gate sessions, Kine Slice processing, video analysis, export features, and app functionality.

• To operate Kine Gate: to allow nearby phones or devices to connect as host and gate devices for timing sessions. Location permission, nearby device access, local network information, and microphone access may be used only for connection setup, timing functionality, or clap-start detection.

• To improve app performance: to identify errors, improve reliability, and enhance user experience.

• To provide support: to respond to Your questions, feedback, or support requests.

• To maintain security: to prevent misuse, troubleshoot technical issues, and protect the Service.

• To comply with legal obligations: when required by applicable law or valid legal process.

Sharing of Your Information

We do not sell Your Personal Data. We do not share Your camera data, imported media, Kine Slice processing data, microphone audio, GPS location, or timing gate connection data with advertisers.

We may disclose information only in the following situations:

• With Your consent: when You choose to share exported videos, Kine Slice images, screenshots, reports, or analysis results.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, court order, or valid request by public authorities.
• To protect rights and safety: if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, users, or the public.
• With platform providers: Android, Google Play, or Your Device manufacturer may process limited technical or diagnostic information according to Your settings and their respective privacy policies.

Storage and Retention

We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

• Videos, photos, Kine Slice media, screenshots, reports, and analysis results: Stored locally on Your Device unless You choose to export or share them.

• Temporary processing files: Kine Slice and other analysis features may create temporary files in the Application's private cache. These files are used only for local processing and are removed when released, when processing fails, or when Android clears the cache.

• Microphone Audio: Kine Tracking does not record, store, upload, or retain microphone audio. Audio is processed temporarily and locally only for clap-start detection.

• Location Data: Kine Tracking does not store GPS coordinates or location history. Location permission is used only temporarily while using the Kine Gate feature and is not retained by the Company.

• Local network/device connection data: Used temporarily for Kine Gate connection setup and timing communication. This information is not uploaded to Our servers.

• Diagnostic or usage data: May be retained only as needed for troubleshooting, app improvement, security, or legal compliance.

Your Control Over Permissions

You can enable or disable camera, microphone, and location permissions at any time through Your Device settings. You control which photos or videos are selected through the Android system picker. Some app features may not work correctly if required permissions are disabled or media access is not granted for a selected file.

Delete Your Data

You may delete exported files, imported videos, Kine Slice images or videos, screenshots, reports, and analysis results from Your Device. You may also contact Us to request deletion of any Personal Data that We may hold, subject to legal or technical limitations.

Accounts

The current version of Kine Tracking does not require You to create an account. We do not collect a name, email address, or profile information through an in-app registration system. If You contact Us by email, We receive the information that You voluntarily include in that communication and use it only to respond to Your request or provide support.

Security of Your Information

The security of Your information is important to Us. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While We use reasonable measures to protect information, We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If We become aware that We have collected such information without appropriate consent, We will take steps to delete it.

Links to Other Websites

Our Service may contain links to websites or services not operated by Us, including YouTube tutorial playlists. Opening an external link may allow the relevant third party to process information under its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites or services. We encourage You to review their privacy policies before using them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. The “Last updated” date will be updated when changes are made.
